SchoolManager™ Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of SchoolManager™ provided via basic.edu.gh by LearnersPlatform (“we”, “us”). By using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your school or organisation.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must use an authorised account issued by your school/organisation.
• You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and keeping account information accurate.
• You must not share passwords or attempt to access data you are not authorised to view.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful activities, harassment, or abuse.
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, or overload the system.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the service except as expressly permitted by written agreement.

4. Data protection

• Schools are typically the Data Controller for learner and staff data entered into SchoolManager™.
• LearnersPlatform typically acts as a Data Processor, processing data on the school’s documented instructions.
• Schools are responsible for providing notices/permissions to parents/guardians as required by law.

5. Fees and transactions

The Android and iOS apps do not sell digital goods or services and have no in‑app purchases. If a school uses payment features (e.g., fee collection), the school may connect its own payment processor or accept payments outside the app under its own policies and agreements.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and secure, but downtime may occur for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen events. We may update features, security controls, or interfaces from time to time.

7. Intellectual property

SchoolManager™, related software, and branding are owned by LearnersPlatform or its licensors. Schools and users receive a limited, non‑exclusive right to use the service as provided.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe there is a security risk, misuse, or breach of these terms. Schools may request account closure subject to contractual and legal requirements, including retention obligations.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your jurisdiction.
